Arrival Triggers
When you choose "If it was off or in Away mode":
- If your air conditioner or heat pump had been managed under Away mode when you come home, our AI will keep track of the power state of your system and simply switch to say Comfort mode when you come home without affecting the power state of your system.
For users that have systems that have power toggle controls (read more about it here), this is important to make sure that your system is switched on or off as you'd expect it. If your air conditioner or heat pump was originally On, then our AI will disregard the trigger and not send power control signal to your system, otherwise, it would toggle the state of your AC and switch it off.
When you choose "If I'm the first person to arrive"
- If your air conditioner or heat pump was switched on already by another user to a different Ambi Mode than the one you chose, it wouldn't change it (e.g. existing user is using Away mode, your selection is Comfort mode. If you are not the first to arrive, it will remain in Away mode if this you select this.
Departure Triggers
When you choose "If AC is currently On":
- For users that have systems that have power toggle controls, this is important to make sure that your air conditioner or heat pump is switched on or off as you'd expect it. If your system was originally Off, then our AI will disregard the trigger and not send power control signal to your system, otherwise, it would toggle the state of your system and switch it On.
When you choose "If I'm the last person out"
- If there is another user in the room, you'd want to prevent your air conditioner or heat pump from switching off for them when you leave the zone.
