1. Tap Modes

  2. Select Away
  3. Tap the temperature/humidity bubble in the middle of the screen and on the bottom right will show two to three icons

    1. Snowflake - for maintaining  below a temperature limit
      (uses cool mode)
    2. Water drop - for maintaining  below a humidity limit
      (uses cool mode)
    3. Sun - for maintaining above a temperature limit
(uses heat mode and available only to pairing that has heat mode)

  4. Tap the snowflake icon
  5. Tap and drag the temperature bubble until it shows the temperature you'd like your room to be maintained below

In Away mode, your air conditioner or heat pump will turn on and cool the room if the room is measured to be higher than your set target (as measured by the Ambi Climate device). It will cool until the room temperature is 2°C below your set target and switch off. This monitoring process is continued until you switch to another mode/off manually or through timers or API.

Our AI will monitor the progress and switch off your air conditioner or heat pump if your target indoor temperature hasn't been achieved in 100 minutes. It will then switch on and try again shortly. In the rare case that your air conditioner or heat pump did not receive the initial signal to turn on, this will make sure that the AI will try again.

If your system has heating and you are paired to a remote that has heat mode. You may also choose to maintain above a temperature limit by tapping the "Sun" instead and choosing a temperature you'd like to maintain above at.

Please note that there is a fixed temperature range allowed:

Cooling 18 - 43 celcius

Heating 0 - 25 celcius

You may also opt to adjust the temperature range limit. Click here to know more.

Examples for maintaining below a temperature(cooling):

a) If the current room temperature is at 25°C and a target indoor temperature of 21°C is set, the A.I. will select a low temperature to cool the room until it reaches 19°C and switch off. If Away mode is still in effect, as your room temperature rises past 21°C, the A.I. will switch on your system again.

b) If the current room temperature is at 20°C and a target indoor temperature of 27°C is set, the A.I. will not send any signals to your system since the room is still within your target temperature range. It will switch on if the temperature indoor is 27°C and switch off when it cools to 25°C.

Examples for maintaining above a temperature(heating):

a) If the current room temperature is at 26°C and a target indoor temperature of 30°C is set, the A.I. will select a heating temperature until it reaches 32°C and switch off. If Away mode is still in effect, as your room temperature cools past 30°C, the A.I. will switch on your system again.

b) If the current room temperature is at 26°C and a target indoor temperature of 25°C is set, the A.I. will not send any signals to your system since the room is still within your target temperature range. It will switch on if the temperature indoor is 24°C and switch off when it heats to 25°C.
